Overview

Lobuche East lying at an elevation of 6119 m, though counted among the most demanding trekkers’ peaks in the Everest region it is worthy to go for. It requires more dedication and climbing skill to use different climbing equipments. There are two different summits to Lobuche Peak- Lobuche East (6119m) and Lobuche West (6145m). Even though a constant ridge ties them there is a gap and a significant distance amid them.

Lobuche is an eye-catching summit, presenting a variety of offered trails and a wide range for novel lines. If you would wish to make a trip to Everest Base Camp, yet stay for longer time and set off higher then, Lobuche east Peak climbing is the worthy choice. All you need to have is strength to climb higher and get the skills to use crampons, ice axe, ropes and more. This 21-days Lobuche East peak Climbing/ Expedition designed by Sherpa Guide Services is a wonderful option to walk into gigantic Himalayan and move higher from the Everest Base Camp. Lobuche Peak is typically technical which requires some basic mountaineering skills necessary to reach to the summit. Even though the Lobuche East climb is a bit more demanding, it is equally worthwhile. From the summit of the peak, you will be greeted by the amazing views of Everest flanking with Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Pumori. The expedition will also let you visit famous places in the Everest area including Kala Pathar (5550m) which too provides a superb view of Mt. Everest.

Itinerary

DAY 01 : Arrival Kathmandu- Transfer to Hotel

In a clear day, you will fly into Kathmandu. During the flight, from the windows you will witness glimmering snow-topped peaks extended down giving us the first joy of our trip which is unforgettable experiences. As soon as you will land at Tribhuvan International Airport, Sherpa Guide Services office representative will receive at the airport and accompany you to your hotel. The representative will aid you to check into your selected hotel, and after you move to your rooms and refresh yourselves we will be shortly briefed about our everyday activities. The remaining time is open to move around and get familiar with your setting. In the evening, we will meet up our senior trek guide who will brief the group about facts related to our trek. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 02 : Kathmandu City tour sightseeing- Overnight Stay at Hotel (Breakfast included)

On this day you will have a full day sightseeing program. You will explore around Kathmandu valley and visit around historical as well as spiritual attractions. You will visit the places enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage list including Durbar Square which will captivate you with the places like Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar, where Living Goddess- Kumari lives. Also, you will get to go around number of temples in Kathmandu Durbar Square. Likewise, you will go around Boudhanath; one of the largest stupas; Swayambhunath which is set at the top on the hill of the city also referred as the Monkey Temple; Pashupatinath which is Hindus holiest place. Stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 03 : Fly to Lukla (2,800m) & trek to Phakding (2,652m)

On this day, we will fly to Lukla (2780m) which is the access path to Everest Base Camp. Here, you will be aided by porters to carry your luggage and you can view beautiful Sherpa settlement named Cheplung. The path continues next to the side of the Dudh Koshi River valley before moving up to Ghat (2530m). After that, our trail climbs kindly again to final destination, Phakding.

DAY 04 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m­)

After having breakfast, our walk heads off all the way through a beautiful pine forest, next to Dudh Koshi River traversing a lot of suspension bridges passing through Sherpa settlements like Benkar, Manjo as well as Jorsole. Besides, you will reach the serene view point to witness Mt. Thamserku (6618 m) after crossing the check post. The path moves to Dudh Koshi riverbed to the meeting spot of Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi rivers. On the way exciting sight of Mt. Everest, Nuptse- Lhotse ridge will completely capture you. About 3 hours ascend through the breathtaking pine forest, as a final point we will reach a well-off trading and administrative settlement Namche Bazaar. Overnight at lodge in Namche Bazaar.

DAY 05 : Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar-

Today, in Namche Bazaar, we will acclimatize to get used to with the altitude of (3,440m). An acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) as well as health expert gives an opinion to grasp at least one additional night. We will have a day tour here and visit Sagarmatha (Everest) National park where we can explore Sherpa culture and learn about the variety of plants and animals of the Everest region. After that, we can plan a side trip to large long-established Sherpa village Khumjung with the beautiful sights of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khaantaiga, Mt, Everest and many more. Back to Namche Bazaar for overnight

DAY 06 : Trek to Tengboche (3,867m),

Today after finishing our breakfast we set up our trek. The fairly flat route will let us view astounding panorama of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and witness the close up views of Thamserku, and Khangtaiga. The lane continues and we can view wild lives like musk deer, colorful pheasant and more. Then the trail slopes downward to Dudh Koshi River where chain of pleasing prayer wheels appears. After going across bridge over Dudh Koshi River, we will have a steep ascend through pine and juniper woods, to reach Tenboche. And in the background we will have peak views of Ama Dablam, Nupte, Mt. Everest and numerous more peaks. Also, we will see the famous Gomba (Tengboche Monastery) becoming visible.

DAY 07 : Tengboche to Dingboche (4360m)

We Bit by Bit Go Up Higher Than the Imja Khola and Get to The Tea Houses Found at Orsho Before Going Across the Old Glacial Moraines On the Way to Our Hotel, We Will See the Community of Dingboche. The Background Is Impressive Here While the Views of Everest Is Hidden at The Back the Lhotse-Nuptse Edge; And We Will Also See the Massive Peaks That Goes Up Above the Eastern End Valley.

DAY 08 : Dingboche (4360m) (Rest and Acclimatization Day)-

Dingboche is a striking jumble of small fields bounded by stone walls caring the crops of barley as well as potatoes from the frosty winds. At the back of our lodge in Dingboche, the huge rock looks of Tawoche seem as if we are living in something called heaven. Walking to Chhukung is an additional option on this day. The things to see here are amazing in this valley; the towering south look of Lhotse lying to the north, Island Peak in the central part of the valley and the nameless peaks is, makes a series on the southern end of the valley. Overnight at lodge in Dingboche.

DAY 09 : Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m)

After the sunrise, we come up the small point at the back the village above Pheriche Valley. At the top, Tawoche and Cholatse (6440m) strikes us with its image which seems to tilt frontward from across the valley in the west. To the north, Lobuche Peak (6119m) and the snowfields of Cho La is prominent. The walking is now by and large flat on wide-open fields, but make sure that you are well hydrated. Then, we cross the Khumbu Khola at Dughla (4620m) and take a light lunch at the foot of the huge terminal moraines of Khumbu Glacier. The fantastic view of Pumori (7145m) and, across the border in Tibet, Changtse (7550m), are seen at the top of the valley at the same time Everest disappears behind the gigantic walls of Nuptse and Lhotse.

DAY 10 :Lobuche - Gorak Shep (5160m) - Everest Base Camp -Gorak Shep

Today we visit Everest Base Camp 17,500ft/5334m. This is the day we get a small taste of what an Everest climber's life is like living at Base Camp and above for many weeks. You will feel the challenge as you hike up the glacial moraine towards Base Camp. It will not feel much like the movies when you get there. The challenges of living at altitude will be very tangible. Everest Base Camp is a famous but temporary habitat among the glacial boulders and ice of the upper Khumbu Glacier. The full mass of the Khumbu Icefall will not be viewed until you walk into Base Camp, but the creaks and groans of the glacier and the roar of avalanches from the slopes around will be heard during the entire day's hike. We return to our lodge at Gorak Shep with memories that will last a lifetime

DAY 11 : Hike to Kala Patar (5545m) trek back to Lobuce

We will trek to Kala Patar (5545m) in the morning to observe wonderful sunrise views from this amazing vantage point. Kala Patar is the rock-strewn peak under Pumori. It is a hard-hitting stroll due to the elevation, yet the top view is away from our imagination. We get going for Lobuche, where we will halt for lunch.

DAY 12 : Trek to Lobuche High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft)- 4-5 hours- Tented Camp

From Lobuche, we will trek to Lobuche high camp. After walking on flat plane, the trail to the Lobuche Base Camp at an elevation of 4,950m gets steeper and rock-strewn path. We move further next to the Lobuche Glacier which bestows vistas of Ama Dablam, Pokalde, Cholatse, Thamserku, Kantega and several other Himalayas. Overnight in Lobuche East hight Camp.

DAY 13 : Summit Lobuche (6119m/20,070 ft) & back to High Camp

On this day, we wake up early at around 2 -3 am and have our breakfast before beginning our climb. It is important we reach the summit before noon because in the afternoon the strong winds in the high lands might become a barrier for a successful summit. We will see the views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, and several more. And then return back further to the high camp again. We spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures, then we get back to the High Camp again for an overnight stay.
DAY 14:Contingency day for any unexpected delays due to weather, route conditions, team health, etc.
This is an additional day set aside to manage any unpremeditated hindrances like flight delays or bad weather for climbing. Setting aside an extra day will safeguard that even if we were to face a day’s set back, the expedition will continue therefore guaranteeing a successful ascent of Lobuche peak.

DAY 15 : Lobuche High Camp to Tukla- Lodge -

After having our morning breakfast, we walk downhill from Lobuche High Camp and join the Everest Base Camp track at Lobuche again. We stop for our lunch at loboche then we again retrace our trail to Tukla. On the way to Tukla, we get to enjoy splendid views of Mt. Ama Dablam in the distance.

DAY 16 : Trek from Tukla to Tengboche. Lodge -

On this day, we will trek back to Tengboche from the Tukla. And in the background we will again see peak views of Ama Dablam, Nupte, Mt. Everest and numerous more peaks. Also, we will see the famous Gomba (Tengboche Monastery) where we stop for overnight stay.

DAY 17 : Trek from Tengboche to Namche- Lodge -

After having our breakfast, we will see the famous Gomba (Tengboche Monastery). After visiting there, we will start walk to Namche Bazaar located at an elevation of 3440m. We can optionally have a day tour here and visit Sagarmatha (Everest) National park where we can explore Sherpa culture and learn about the variety of plants and animals of the Everest region.

DAY 18 : Trek from Namche to Lukla- Lodge

Today, we begin to get warmed up by the light cool breeze. Although we are traveling the same route down, we enjoy entirely different views. We snap a mixture of open plains, rhododendron and pine forests, and in the distance snow covered peaks.
We take time and walk at our own pace today as this is the last day of our trek. We experience the Sherpa villages' profound faith in Buddhism and culture of prayer stones and prayer flags while we walk through the villages.
Upon arrival in Lukla, we have plenty of time to relax, stretch those aching legs, and recall the experiences of the last couple of days. We experience the culmination of a fantastic trek and climbing experience on a happy note with everyone back safe and sound with smiling faces! Upon arrival in Lukla, we stroll around while our leader will re-confirm our flight ticket. In the evening, we enjoy the last dinner with our sherpa crew and make it a party night, which calls for a celebration.

DAY 19 : Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

Today, after a hale and hearty breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey. The early morning flight drops us at Kathmandu. We can rest and relax throughout the day at our hotel. If interested, we could buy some gifts to take home from Nepal for loved ones and friends and relatives; we can visit some nearby shops or venture out in Thamel for typical Nepalese goods.

Sherpa Guide Services either can assist this short excursion, or we can do it ourselves too. If you want to explore any other areas in Kathmandu, you have to manage time for this today as well!
At evening time, we will attend an exciting celebration dinner together for completing lobuche east Peak expeditions hosted by Sherpa Guide Services ! Overnight in Kathmandu

DAY 20 : Final Departure- fly to Home from Kathmandu, Nepal

After breakfast, our representative and office vehicle will be on standby at our hotel to transfer us to the airport for your connecting flight home.
