Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking provides you with one of the most beautiful beginnings you can ever experience. The beauty continues to the end of the trail. Trekking along the favorable, low elevation landscape, trekkers pass through dense forest adorned by rhododendron, orchids and magnolia. Then we will awake before dawn and trek to the famed Poon Hill. It is here where we will enjoy a spectacular sunrise – the highlight of the trek. Trekkers set themselves on the hilltop armed with cameras as they wait to capture the beautiful moment of the rising sun. The sun slowly rises up the horizon; the silhouette of mountains coming into view. Next, the crevasses of hills show their curves. Then the outlines of valleys and houses and finally the sun rises over the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, Manaslu massifs and the sacred Fishtail Mountain. We shall head for another famous Gurung village of Ghandruk marking the end of our trekking experience in this region. Famous for uniquely arranged houses, warm hospitality, peculiar cultural traditions and magnificent views of the Himalayas. Furthermore, Ghandruk is home to a museum preserving the authentic cultural and traditional heritages.

Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking leads the trekkers into the Annapurna conservation area project(ACAP). This area boasts villages with ancient and cultural significance as well as some of the most breathtaking scenery in the entire region. Being a low altitude trek, trekkers need to have normal physical fitness and endurance to trek for 3-4 hours a day in average in the hilly terrain.
